Music at First
First Lutheran's resonant acoustic and Martin Pasi pipe organ are ideal for presentations of music. We have hosted talented local musicians and occasionally those of international stature. First Lutheran has been the venue for concerts of the Houston Early Music Festival, as well as such ensembles as La Speranza, the Bach Choir and Orchestra, Cantare Houston, Houston Camerata, Greenbriar Consortium, and the Foundation for Modern Music, and local organists and university choirs. In 2023, Harmonia Stellarum made First Lutheran their home. In April, 2024, a new Italian Renaissance organ was delivered and will be housed at First Lutheran.
